National Park in Madhya Pradesh spread across Mandala and Kalaghat districts. It has been declared as one of the finest wildlife areas in the world.

The landscapes and the surrounding luxurious meadows along with the wooded strands and the dense maroons of forests offer a wonderful sightseeing experiences for the nature lovers. Making the land more beautiful and adorable, the crystal clear streams amidst the dense jungle adds to the beauty.

This park has been the source of inspiration for Rudyard Kipling, for his outstanding book – “The Jungle Book”.

We stayed in Mowgli resort and went for the jeep safari in morning and evening.

The Kanha National Park is home for the mighty tigers to the most populated Barasingha and the countless species of plants, birds, reptiles and insects.

Happy that we got to see the beautiful landscape. I always had a fear for forests but this one I fell in love with. Got to see a lot of Animals also but not the tiger.

Casual Dining place for some Homely Goan food. Margoa. Goa

We had read quite good reviews of the place and wanted to check this place out ourselves.

We were quite surprised by its location. We had to literally hunt for it since there were no approaching sign boards, this place is tucked away in the greenery and away from the city traffic. Excellent location. A casual dining place which matches the local Goans. Relaxing and peaceful.

It has quite warm interiors. Best place for some sophisticated parties or get together.

Let’s start with my favourite Masala Papad. I dont think I will ever get bored with this, its different in different places and at Cinnamon it was spicy and yummy.

Mussels Rava fry. The crispy coat and soft flesh was amazing.

After heavy starters we just loved the simple hot Rice and Dal Fry

The drinks are refreshing and quenches the sweet tooth.

Tucked away from the busy streets this place is a very pleasant to hang around. Good food and excellent service. There will surely be a little wait time once the food is ordered since the fish is cooked fresh.

Bill is inevitable but this Bill holder amused me.

I love visiting this place every time I am in Goa and I crave for this food and want to go back quite often.

This is a must try place if you can handle the spice.

Unlimited Vegetarian Thali is famous here and it is served on fresh big Banana leaf.

The Ghee is poured from a jug onto the white Rice. Pappu served is my Favourite and I can finish eating all the rice only with the Pappu served.

The Gongura chutney, Fried Curd Chillies, Andhra Pickles are already waiting for you at the table.

Nagarjuna Hotel is famous for its Andhra Style Biryani and Chicken and Mutton items like Chicken Ghee roast and Mutton Pepper.

Nagarjuna Hotels is slightly easy on the pocket. Excellent Food. Remember to stay hungry before going to Nagarjuna Hotel. It’s unlimited sumptuous meals.

South Goa – Goa

My previous blog on the Mahadeva Temple being relocated is due to the construction of this Salaulim Dam located on the Salaulim River, a tributary of the Zuari River in Goa, India.

The spill way is the unique Duckbill type also known as the Morning Glory type. If lucky one can witness the spill. It’s amazing.

The Goa Forest Department has designed the Botanical Garden on the other side of the Dam. This huge area is planned like the Brindavan Garden in Mysore with Ornamental plants and landscaping. One can spend the whole day with family and friends playing and relaxing here.

Wow!!! Is this heaven on Earth. This is so Scenic so Serene its an Out of the World feeling.

The Mahadev Temple in Kurdi (Goa) is a 10th Century Temple.

This is a transplanted temple. Originally it was 17 kms south of the present location in Kurdi Angod on the bank of the river Netravali.

The Construction of the Dam across Salaulem had threatened the submergence of the temple hence it was systematically dismantled and re-constructed at this place providing similar topographical setting.

The Temple consists of a square Garbhagriha with a porch in front. Super structure is built of Laterite and Basalt stone. The main Lord worshipped was Shiva Linga which is now housed in Someswara Temple in Kurdi.

Situated in the lush green scenic beauty of Goa. This historical place is a place of visit when you visit the Salaulem Dam.
